As we head into the 2026 giving year, there’s a helpful opportunity for many supporters: even if you take the standard deduction, you may be able to claim an “above-the-line” charitable deduction for cash gifts to qualified nonprofits—up to $1,000 for single filers or $2,000 for couples filing jointly (for the 2026 tax year).

Use Your IRA to create safe space for families to grow together in Memphis
If you’re age 73 or older, the IRS requires you to take Required Minimum
Distributions (RMDs) from your IRA (these requirements are required at younger ages
for those who inherit IRAs). You can turn that required withdrawal into a powerful gift to
Su Casa Family Ministries through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD), one
form of an RMD.
A QCD allows you to:
